１級面接の練習をしていて、夫に「日本だからこそできる発展途上国への援助って何？」ってきいたら、
「そんなの、クリーンエネルギーの技術シェアに決まってるよ！！」
といきなり言い切って。Why?ときいたら
「発展途上国が先進国と同じようにエネルギーを使ったら一気に地球は滅亡するからさ！！」
とのたまいました。
え、そうなの！？どういうこと？経済開発の為の援助をすることが彼らの貧困をやわらげるいい方法なんじゃないの！？んん？？
という根本的なところから。
勝手な話ながら、先進国のエネルギーの使い方を、発展途上国が真似をしたら、一気に地球の状態は悪くなるってことなんやね。
だから、クリーンなエネルギーの技術をシェアして、そのエネルギーを使って発展していただくことが地球を守るうえで必須なんだって。
夫は、一応そういう関係の技術者なので、返答が早くて羨ましかった～
英検１級、英語力はもとより、やっぱり何かで通して、世界が見えていることがすごく強いな～。日本語でこれがバッサリ言えないと、英語以前の問題だもんね。

Does technology have a positive effect on environmental conservation?
Some people would point out that technology does not always have a positive effect on environmental conservation, but I think it can and should do so in the future. I have some points to make.
The first point is that technology can contribute to solving the problem of deforestation. Today many people use e-mails or digital data, instead of sending letters or fax, without printing papers. A decline in the paper's use will make it easier to save the world's rain forests.
The second point is that technology can play an important role to developing renewable sources of energy. Solar power and wind power are being developed quickly today, and they are already helping to reduce the need to use fossil fuels. These forms of energy are impossible without better technology.
In conclusion, owing to its positive effects on saving papers, and advancing renewable energy, I strongly believe that it is safe to say that technology has a lot of benefits to conserve the environment. And we should use it so that we can make a better world.
